Triple win at 2016 Air New Zealand Wine Awards
Church Road McDonald Series takes home three prestigious Pure Gold medals; quite fitting for a range honouring the legacy of Tom McDonald- a man widely regarded as the founder of French winemaking in New Zealand
The Air New Zealand Wine Awards is the premier wine competition in New Zealand attracting more than 1500 entries each year. We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate a triple win from the 2016 show with our Church Road McDonald Series Marzemino 2014, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 and Merlot 2013 all receiving a prestigious Pure Gold award.
The Air New Zealand Wine Awards celebrate excellence in New Zealand winemaking and are widely considered to be the country’s most prestigious wine competition. New Zealand Winegrowers, the national organisation for the country’s 1,600 grape growers and winemakers, has owned and organised the competition for over 40 years.
Church Road McDonald Series (RRP $26.59) and Church Road Grand Reserve wines (RRP $44.99) are available from selected restaurants, fine wine retailers and the Church Road Winery Cellar Door.
